Spring’s Must-Make Dessert: 5-Ingredient Rhubarb Tart

Nothing says spring like a delicious and colourful rhubarb dessert, with a slight twist.

Tarts are a fantastic addition to any dessert table, with how customizable they are and how easy they are to make. This particular recipe has only five ingredients and a lot of flavour and is the perfect way to cook with this versatile vegetable. A great twist on a strawberry-rhubarb pie, this tart is both faster and easier to make and makes for a perfect spring or summer treat.

Simply start with a can of Pillsbury crescents and roll it out and pinch the seams to make a large rectangle.

Mix together cinnamon and sugar and set aside.

Shake together rhubarb with sugar and orange peel and arrange it in a single layer on the dough. Fold the edges over, sprinkle with some cinnamon sugar and pop it in the oven. Bake for about twenty minutes until the edges are a deep golden brown.

Serve warm and top with ice cream if you’d like for an extra delicious treat on a hot day.
