Bacon Wrapped Steak Bites

My eldest son turned ten a few weeks ago, and we went to a local restaurant to celebrate. They had some appetizers I'd never heard of before and the one we loved the most were little bites of steak wrapped in bacon. They were AMAZING, and can be Paleo if that's your thing. I marinaded steak in my go-to recipe, but you can use something else, or just a steak spice.

INGREDIENTS:

2 steaks, marinated

Steak spice, if not marinating

8 (ish) slices of bacon, cut in half

1 tablespoon butter

toothpicks

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

Cut the fillets into small, round cuts, 2-3 inches in diameter. Add the butter to an oven safe skillet and melt over low heat. Tightly wrap each fillet with one slice of bacon, pinning the bacon to the fillet where the bacon overlaps itself with a toothpick.

Add steak spice on top of each steak bite if they are not marinaded. Flip and repeat. Increase the heat under the skillet to medium and then add the steak bites. Cook for two minutes to sear the meat, flip and sear the other side for 1-2 minutes.

Place the skillet it in the oven for 7-10 minutes, depending on your oven and how well done you like your steak. Remove the skillet from the oven and allow the fillets to sit for a few minutes before you move them. Serve immediately.

Enjoy!
