Ingredients

1 can (796 mL) crushed tomatoes
4 cups chicken broth
1 cup water
368 g Italian-style frozen meatballs
225 g thin spaghetti
2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic salt
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 cup shaved parmesan cheese
1/4 cup loosely packed fresh basil, chopped

    Place tomatoes, meatballs, spaghetti, Italian seasoning, onion powder, garlic salt and chili powdered together in a large pot.

    Add water and broth. Cover and bring to a boil, stirring every 1-2 minutes. Cook for 14-16 minutes, or until pasta is tender.

    Remove from heat and garnish with parmesan and basil. Serve hot. Enjoy!

Expert Tips

  • If you’d like more liquid in your soup, add additional tomatoes, broth and water to taste.
