My husband has a sweet tooth and Christmas is coming and those two things mean that it's time to start baking ALL OF THE CHOCOLATE THINGS. This one bar is a favourite around here, for both my husband and our kids. It's really easy to make, and even easier to eat.

INGREDIENTS:

Base:

1 1/2 cups flour

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

3/4 cup butter or margarine

Topping:

1 can sweetened condensed milk

2 Tbsp butter or margarine

1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 package of SKOR toffee bits

DIRECTIONS:

1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease a 13 x 9 cake pan.

2. Combine flour and brown sugar, then cut in butter/margarine until the mixture is crumbly. Press into the cake pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes -- depending on how hot your oven is -- until golden.

3. While the base is baking, make the topping. Heat sweetened condensed milk and butter/margarine in a saucepan over medium-low heat, and stir constantly for 5-10 minutes, until thickened. Spread over baked base and bake for 12-15 minutes longer, until golden.

4. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top and return to oven for 2-3 minutes, until chocolate is shiny. Remove from oven and use a spatula to spread chocolate evenly. Sprinkle SKOR bits on top and press lightly. Chill to set and then cut into bars.

Enjoy!
