Ingredients

  • 1-2 tbsp (15-30 mL) vegetable oil
  • 1 lb (500 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 1 pkg Hamburger Helper* 3 Cheese Manicotti
  • 2 cups (500 mL) milk
  • 1 cup (250 mL) hot water
  • 3 tbsp (45 mL) white wine or chicken broth
  • 2 tomatoes, coarsely chopped
  • Chopped fresh basil

Steps

    Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat.  Add chicken strips and cook and stir for about 5 minutes until completely cooked and no longer pink in centre.

    Add milk, hot water, white wine, sauce mix and pasta.

    Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.
  • 4
    Reduce heat, cover and simmer about 10 minutes stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.  Stir in tomatoes and cook for 2 minutes longer.

    Remove from heat and uncover; sprinkle with fresh basil.  Let stand 5 minutes to allow sauce to thicken.
