Raspberry Peach Rosè Sangria

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups peeled fresh peach slices (2 large)

1 cup fresh raspberries

1/4 cup fresh orange juice

3 tablespoons orange liqueur or brandy

1 bottle (750 mL) rosè wine, chilled

2 to 4 tablespoons simple syrup* (see below)

Orange or lemon slices, if desired

Chilled sparkling water, if desired

In large pitcher, mix peach slices and raspberries. Stir in orange juice, liqueur, wine and simple syrup. Cover; refrigerate 2 to 4 hours to allow flavours to blend.

Pour into 6 glasses.

Garnish with slices and a splash of sparkling water.

*To make simple syrup, heat equal parts sugar and water in saucepan over medium heat, stirring frequently, until sugar dissolves. Store covered in refrigerator up to 1 month.
