Classic Strawberry Shortcakes

Here's a great way to eat more fruit! In less than half an hour and with a bit of Bisquick* mix, you'll have a delicious dessert — complete with strawberries and whipped cream.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/3 cup (575 mL) BISQUICK* mix
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) milk
  • 3 tbsp (45 mL) sugar
  • 3 tbsp (45 mL) butter or margarine, melted
  • Sliced fresh strawberries
  • Whipped cream or topping

Steps

  • 1
    Heat oven to 425°F (220°C). Stir Bisquick* mix, milk, sugar and butter until soft dough forms. Drop large spoonfuls of batter onto ungreased baking sheet (makes 6 large shortcakes).

    Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.

    Split warm shortcakes.
  • 4
    Fill with strawberries and whipped cream.
