Banana-Nut Waffles

The same banana-nut flavour you love in pancakes bakes into golden delicious waffles.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (500 mL) Bisquick* mix
  • 1 cup (250 mL) mashed very ripe bananas (2 medium)
  • 1 cup (250 mL) milk
  • 1/4 cup (50 mL) finely chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 2 tbsp (25 mL) vegetable oil
  • 1 egg

Steps

  • 1
    Heat waffle iron; grease with vegetable oil or shortening.
  • 2
    Stir ingredients until blended. Pour onto center of hot waffle iron. Close lid of waffle iron.

    Bake about 5 minutes or until steaming stops. Carefully remove waffle.

    Serve With: For a quick dessert, top these banana waffles with hot caramel sauce and a dollop of whipped cream!
