Bake uncovered 35 to 40 minutes or until knife inserted in centre comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

Expert Tips

  • Tip 1
Do-Ahead Tip: To make this the night before, assemble in baking dish, cover and refrigerate overnight. Uncover and bake at 400ºF about 1 hour or until knife inserted in centre comes out clean.
  • Tip 2
Substitution: Make this dish your "signature bake." You can substitute a different kind of cheese, such as Cheddar for the Swiss, and use sliced pimiento-stuffed green olives instead of the onions.
