A Mexican twist on a French Canadian classic!

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) vegetable oil
  • 1 lb (500 g) ground pork
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp (2 mL) ground cinnamon, optional
  • 1 pkg (510 g) Old El Paso* Burrito Kit

Steps

    Heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • 2
    Cook the pork until no longer pink. Add onion, carrot and celery and cook for 5 minutes, stirring often.

    Stir in cinnamon (if using), burrito seasoning mix, and 1 1/4 cups (300 mL) water.

    Reduce heat to medium and cook for 5 minutes, stirring often.

    Warm the tortillas according to package directions. Divide filling among tortillas and top with salsa.

    Fold up bottom and sides to serve.

    Tip: Try substituting ground chicken or turkey for ground pork and adding fresh thyme in place of ground cinnamon.
