Bring a little creativity to Hamburger Helper by adding crisp garden vegetables to this fresh, delicious pasta toss!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (500 g) lean ground beef
  • 2 cups (500 mL) milk
  • 1 1/3 cups (325 mL) hot water
  • 1 pkg Hamburger Helper* Cheeseburger Macaroni
  • 1 green, orange or yellow pepper, coarsely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, coarsely chopped
  • 4 green onions, chopped

Steps

    In large nonstick skillet, cook beef over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until thoroughly cooked; drain.

    Stir in milk, hot water, Sauce Mix and uncooked Pasta.    Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.

    Reduce heat, cover and simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.   Stir in peppers, tomatoes and green onions. Cook about 7 minutes longer, stirring occasionally until pasta is tender.

    Let stand 5 minutes to allow sauce to thicken.
