Refrigerated gingerbread cookie dough provides an easy shortcut to making the star of your holiday cookie plate.
August 26, 2009

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg Pillsbury* Refrigerated Gingerbread Cookies
  • 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup (125 mL to 175 mL) flour
  • 1 cup (250 mL) white chocolate chips
  • 2 tsp (10 mL) oil

Steps

  • 1
STEP 1: Heat oven to 350°F (180°C).  Follow directions on package for "Cut-Out Cookies", using a 3-inch star cutter.  Bake 7 to 11 minutes or until light golden brown and set; cool.
  • 2
STEP 2: Microwave white chocolate chips and oil on high for 30 to 60 seconds (stirring every 15 seconds), until melted. Remove from heat.
  • 3
STEP 3: Dip half of each cookie into white chocolate coating, letting excess drip off.  Place cookies on waxed paper-lined baking sheet; refrigerate until white chocolate coating is set (about 30 minutes).

  • Substitution Tip: White vanilla chips can be used instead of white chocolate chips.
  • Pillsbury* Sugar and Gingerbread Cookies are only available during the Christmas baking season. Look for them at your supermarket mid-November to January.
