Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup (75 mL) butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) packed brown sugar
  • 4 cups (1 L) Cheerios™ cereal
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) gluten-free candy-coated chocolate candies, if desired
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) raisins

Steps

    In 3-quart (3 L) saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Stir in brown sugar. Cook, stirring constantly, until thick and smooth.

    Stir in cereal. Cook 2 to 3 minutes, stirring constantly, until cereal is coated.

    Spread mixture in thin layer on ungreased cookie sheet. Cool 1 hour. Crumble into bite-size pieces. Stir in raisins and candies. Store in airtight container.
