Impossibly Easy Ham And Cheddar Pie

Ham, Cheddar cheese and apple make a delicious Bisquick* main-dish pie to serve morning, noon or night.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups (375 mL) chopped cooked ham
  • 1 cup (250 mL) shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup (50 mL) sliced green onions
  • 1 small cooking apple, peeled, chopped (1/2 cup/125 mL)
  • 1 cup (250 mL) milk
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) BISQUICK* mix
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/8 tsp (0.5 mL) pepper

Steps

    Heat oven to 400°C (200°C). Spray bottom and side of 9-inch (23 cm) pie plate with non-stick cooking spray. Sprinkle ham, cheese, onions and apple in pie plate.

    Combine remaining ingredients in medium bowl. Pour over ham mixture.

    Bake uncovered 25 to 30 minutes or until knife inserted in centre comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

  • Tip: Substitution: Make an Impossibly Easy Bacon Pie by using 12 slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled, instead of ham.
  • Shredded Swiss cheese can be used instead of the Cheddar cheese.
