Ingredients

2 boxes Betty Crocker™ chocolate chunk brownie mix

Water, oil and eggs called for on brownie mix boxes

42 caramels, unwrapped

42 whole pecans

Heat oven to 350°F. Place mini paper baking cup in each of 42 mini muffin cups.

Make brownie batter as directed on boxes. Fill muffin cups about three-fourths full. Bake about 10 minutes or until edges are just barely baked; middles should still be gooey.

Gently press a caramel into centre of each; top with a whole pecan. Bake about 10 minutes longer or until caramels are melted and brownies are baked.

Chopped pecans also work for this recipe! You’ll need a small sprinkle, about 1/2 teaspoon per brownie bite. Other nuts would be great, too.
Be sure to unwrap the caramels before you begin baking, so you’re not scrambling to do so when it comes time to place them into the brownies.
