Canadian Bacon and Pineapple Pizza

Chunks of pineapple add a juicy tropical twist to the Canadian bacon and provolone cheese flavours in this family-pleasing pizza.

Ingredients

  • 1 can Pillsbury* refrigerated Italian Pizza Crust
  • 1 pkg (6 oz) sliced provolone cheese
  • 1 pkg (5 to 6 oz) sliced Peameal bacon
  • 1 can (8 oz) pineapple chunks in unsweetened juice, well drained on paper towels
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) thinly sliced red onion
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) shredded Cheddar cheese

Steps

    Heat oven to 425°F. Spray or grease 12-inch (30 cm) pizza pan or 13x9-inch (33x22 cm) pan. Unroll dough in pan. Starting at centre, press dough to edge of pan. Bake crust 6 to 8 minutes until set and dry.

    Top with provolone cheese, cutting to fit. Arrange Canadian bacon, pineapple, onion and bell pepper over provolone cheese to within 1/2 inch (1.25 cm) of edges. Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese.

    Bake an additional 12 to 16 minutes, or until crust is deep golden brown. Cut into 8 servings.
