Gorgonzola Stuffed Buffalo Turkey Sliders

Make these sliders for your next sports gathering. The Gorgonzola cheese is stuffed inside the patty and flavoured with Buffalo sauce for a new twist on a classic flavour.

  • 3/4 pound (375 g) ground turkey
  • 1/4 yellow onion, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup Frank's wing sauce (plus more for drizzling)
  • 6 tablespoons crumbled Gorgonzola
  • 6 slider buns

    Combine ground turkey with grated onion, minced garlic and wing sauce. Season with salt and pepper. Lightly mix together using your hands, taking care not to over-mix.

    Evenly separate into six patties. Place 1 tablespoon Gorgonozola cheese in the centre of each patty. Bring up the sides around the cheese and press together to engulf the cheese in the middle. Flatten back out. Repeat with remaining five patties.

    Grill patties over medium heat until cooked all the way through. (About 5-6 minutes per side, or if using a foreman-type grill, 5-6 total).

    Serve on toasted slider buns and drizzle with extra sauce and your favourite burger toppings, if desired.
